When we were done up at the summit, we drove back down the road a couple of miles to the visitor's center. It was open and lit all in red lights. We saw a video about the Keck Observatories, two of the largest telescopes anywhere. Outside, there were university students leading a star gazing session. They had six or seven smaller (one was an 18" mirror) telescopes setup that we could look through. I saw some amazing things: the Andromeda Galaxy, the Ring Nebula, binary stars and a spectacular view of Saturn.
